I recently, had to purchase a new car and was very lucky not to have to lease or finance it. But, I did have to get a cheque certified, to make my purchase.

Dealing with any bank can be "trying" at times so I was pleasantly surprise at the level of service I received at a TD branch that was not my own. The teller was helpful, and had me "one my way" very quickly.

The surprising part.........I received a hand written, Thank You note from her, in the mail, today, telling me how excited she was for me and how happy to be a part of my purchase!

Somehow I managed to damage a dress almost dead center of my torso. I took a gamble and gave it to Mary Ahn to fix. The work was amazing. This is one huge secret that I am willing to share. The fabric was very delicate yet she succeeded. I was thrilled.

In my opinion you cannot find anyone better. AND reasonable too.

I recently moved and was looking for a good place to buy my moving supplies. When Students Have Storage Headaches.What Do They Do?

We have had this storage problem more than a few times. Kids away at university and you have to deal with their "STUFF". They are lucky to not be paying for 4 months rent, during summer vacations.But what to do with their stuff? One year we dealt with temporary storage by asking a good friends brother to store some things in his garage. This is not always possible.

This year my son is in Ottawa. And we do not have friends brothers who live in Ottawa. My husband found this service on the internet. A service for temporary storage. Can you tally up costs just in gas, to go and pick up in Ottawa and return to Toronto, with his stuff. I am dead certain the gas alone would exceed the following storage charge. Never mind that one parent would actually have to take off the day to do that.

This looks to me awful clever and reasonable. Typical pkg deal----- 1 5cubic ft. box 1 3cubic ft. box, & a book box. A good friend was in town last month. She happened to bring her dog with her. As she went about her day to day activites in town she placed her dog in a wonderful day care facility for dogs, in the distillery district. As I understand she was delighted with the service. Her pup seemed very happy to go there and happy to come home. Check it out.

I had the pleasure of meeting Terry Carson "the parenting coach" recently. I found her to be an insightful, & an intelligent lady. Oh how I wish I had met her just 2 years back. In any case it is good to know that there are people available to help when you need them. I was fortunate to meet Elli at a womans group breakfast meeting. We were seated face to face. Serendipity. I had been thinking that I must get a writer to help me. Well here she was. We talked and three weeks later I had two post cards and a press release ready to be distributed.
