We can run a cost sharing business by buying the facilities for one workshop in which we can all work and use the tools …
By sharing our resources we can develop a strong back bone for our job and accelerate the production process and achieve higher goals.
We can also run an on-line gallery, and put regular group shows for marketing and selling our creations,

If you're interested please check out my blog:
www.parsapezhman.blogspot.com
and contact me by e-mail
Travel tips

Travel Tips

This morning I met up with the twins at the pool. They had just gotten back from Tahiti and were into sharing some of their wisdom. In their travels at one point they attended a lecture from a notable jeweler and he said never buy jewelry from someone you don't know.

Picture the scene where your always looking to bring presents back . Jewelry is not to be a present bought from some unknown huckster. It is very much a blind item, therefore to be safe buy it local, from some vendor you know, and trust.

The second piece of wisdom, had to do with the selection of clothing for packing. Pick two colours and work with them exclusively. For example brown and black will help to limit your shoes and bags. And in many cases the tops : peach, cream, white will work for both. Given the limited amount of luggage you are allowed on planes these days. It makes alot of sense. Another bit of knowledge shared , pack lightweight fabrics that are crease resistant like a 10 once cotton t shirt or a knitted rayon blend dress.

From my extensive travels I can share: put money in two places. It has saved me, and my children many headaches. My daughter once left her wallet on a sleeper compartment of the train. Fortunately she still had money in another spot and therefore managed to live on it for three days until we were able to send her a new credit card.

Make sure you take your airline tickets with you in your purse or place in hotel safe.( take photocopy with you)

I recommend a good comfortable shoe. There were many days when I had to walk the fabric shows on concrete. If you want to have your mind and feet at ease, this should be your rule. I remember being in Chicago at the Art Institute in high heels. I had to go back to the hotel after two hours. My feet could not take anymore.

One other tip. Drip candle wax all around on all your twist caps of lotions and potions. This will prevent spills.

Shopping in 2008, France

My life slowed down long enough to explore an amusing site from France today. I thought you might enjoy it too - an alternative to our own fashion programming.

Here's the link, available in French or English on their welcome screen.

www.dailymotion.com/welovecolette

Enjoy,

The Happy Shopper

responses to "It's in the bag"

Review: Winiferd Gallager's book titled "It's in the bag".
I'll leave you with some of the more powerful comments. I Am interested in hearing your responses.

Psychoanalyst Rhoda Krawitz "young fashonistas whose identity is still in flux and who yearn to join "the sorority of the haves" suspects that Hermes, and Gucci are supplements to their own names, which they still find inadequate.

Judith Waters professor of psychology found that "the better you look the more you're paid for the same credentials. Being attractive and well turned out has monetary as well as psychological value." "It's worth money- there is a connection between the purses increased importance and a women's work identity."

"What you wear should not be more important than what you have to say"

Tonne Goodman Vogues fashion director says "a womens purse conveys how hard she works" A well used businesslike classic sends a different message than an up-to-the-minute It Bag .

Samanthe Rand, a pr. consultant and stylist believes in spending on good shoes, coat, and bag, "you know that they'll always be appropriate-always, always, always, and make you feel that way too." For her an unimpeachably great bag is " like a security blanket, in that it makes me feel put together and confident."
I am curious to see your answers.
